Rules & Procedures
The Board of Directors of the Simi Hills Men's Golf Club, after much discussion and consideration, hereby adopts the following resolutions.
Tournaments:
1. Once a member has committed to play in a tournament, home or away, and the cut-off date for that tournament has passed, that member shall be responsible for the entry fee for that tournament unless a member from the waiting list, if any, takes his spot in the tournament.
2. A member who commits to play in a tournament, home or away, and fails to pay his entry fee for that tournament shall be precluded from entering another tournament until the unpaid Entry Fee is paid in full.
3. COURSE DROP ZONES: Unless specifically noted in the rules for a club tournament, during all HOME tournament play, drop zones will not be used, even if the course has established an area marked as a Drop Zone.
4. TOURNAMENT GAMES: To enter the Games (Skins and Closest to the Pin)(optional), a member must pay for each game he wishes to compete, in advance, by either adding them during registration on the SHMGC Website (Tourney Registration Portal) or by properly filling out an envelope and depositing it in the box on the day of the tournament, prior to teeing off. The players name, amount paid and games entered must be clearly identified on the envelope. Illegible or Improperly filled out envelopes, or envelopes with not enough money will be disqualified from the games and the money will be refunded to the member, unless the member fails to add their name to the envelope.
5. Honey Pot (optional) - any member wishing to compete in the Honey Pot competition can enter this game by properly filling out a Honey Pot envelope and depositing it, with the proper amount of cash in the box. The player must be participating in the tournament to enter the Honey Pot and must be part of a two-man team. A member may pair himself with any other member competing in the tournament.
6. RECORDING CLOSEST TO THE PIN - Any player participating in this game, who's tee shot lands comes to rest on the green can enter his name in the pin book. Recording the distance as measured from the edge of the cup to the front of the ball in feet and inches. Any player who records their name on the incorrect flight page, incorrectly enters their distance or fails to add their name shall be disqualified from the hole.
7. MUSIC - Music may be played at a reasonable volume during any SHMGC tournament. If any player in the group requests music not be played, the music must be turned off. The definition of reasonable volume is: cannot be heard by other groups on the course.
8. SPECTATORS AND CADDY'S - Spectators and caddy's are not permitted at SHMGC Tournaments
Club Index
1. The SHMGC has established a club index system. Each member will establish a club index by participating in club tournaments. The lower of the members GHIN index or Club Index shall be used in all Simi Hills Men’s Golf Club tournaments.

Sunday Tee Times
The Simi Hills Men’s Golf Club has established a MOU with the RSRPD to provide access to tee times for 28 players on certain Sunday mornings throughout the year. Only SHMGC members are eligible to play in these Tee Times. To register for the Tee Times, visit the website under the Tee Times tab. Registration opens at noon, one week before the available Tee Times. There is no obligation of any member to participate in side bets, skins, CTP etc.
In the event you need to cancel, please do so through the website until noon Friday. After noon Friday, please call the golf course.
Aces Club
The SHMGC Board of Directors has established an Ace's Club. In each SHMGC tournament, a one dollar fee will be added to the entry price for each player to fund the Ace's Club. Entering a tournament automatically enters you into the Ace's Club for that tournament. Any player who successfully scores a hole-in-one during a SHMGC tournament will win a cash prize of $1500. Each qualified hole in one must be witnessed and attested by at least two other members of the club. Only HIO during a SHMGC Tournament qualify for the prize.
A qualified HIO must be a ball holed from the tee box with the first stroke a player makes on the hole.
